8. I did a side by side comparison of the strut to my adjustable coilover setup. I set it up to be 1” lower than stock which is how the adjustables were setup.

9. This photo shows the bottom bracket for the sway bar in place and the strut inserted into the original brackets. It was a perfect fit and took about 10 minutes a side.

18. Replace the strut with the new ones.
19. Torque all nuts to specs.
20. Drive the car forward and backwards a little to allow it to reach ride height.
21. Armed with your tape measure, determine if you need to adjust height.
22. Make notes about which side needs to go up and or down
23. Re raise the car on the jack and stands
24. Loosen the bottom nut and adjust upwards and or downwards to put the car at your desired height.
25. Recheck your heights
26. Drive your car to an alignment shop, I went to brake check cost me $64 for a lifetime balance and alignment
27. Go out and search for unsuspecting sedans and performance cars. Especially with my “Yes, It’s a Kia! We knew you’d be surprised!!”

Some of you have had questions about adjustment.

As you can see there are 2 locking rings in the middle of the shock.

If you loosen the bottom one, you can raise or lower the height of the car, simply by turning the top portion of the strut up or down. .

If you loosen the top one, you can also raise or lower the car, but this should be used to put some preload on the spring if that is your desire. I kept mine with little or no preload on the spring as a starting point and they work fine.

On top of the strut, there is a removable adjuster, this is an allen key with a nut on top that allows you to adjust the dampening. I felt they were a little too much for dialing driving so I turned them down to 12 front and 24 rear clicks on the adjustment, You simply turn them all of the way in and then back them out the number of clicks you are looking for. (The numbers I used were the factory setup. )
